Failing to attend / failing to cancel appointments

From Nov 2020 to the end of Feb 2021 419 appointments were wasted due to patients failing to attend / failing to cancel their appointment.

Please note: unwanted appointments can be cancelled in the following ways:

  • Face to face (GP surgery)
  • By telephone
  • Cancelling via text when you receive an appointment reminder
  • Cancel via ‘patient access’ – (online appointment booking)

Please always cancel unwanted appointments as they can be used by other patients who need to see a GP/Nurse.
