Introducing the Sunderland Health and Wellness Hub
The Sunderland Health and Wellness Hub is a new website that has been built by local healthcare professionals.
People in Sunderland can visit www.shwh.co.uk to find information about a range of local health and care services. As well as links to national and local resources, self-care and prevention information.
The primary aim of the ‘hub’ is to reduce GP and administrative workload by alleviating pressure on the telephone line. Patients can be directed to the website to:
- find self-care and prevention information
- signposting to national and local resources and knowledgebase
- self-refer to a range of services e.g. MSK services and Mental Health support
- find information about a health services in Sunderland
- learn how to contact your GP online
